Cinco De Mayo Crafts

A few days back we had a Wonderful Cinco De Mayo Playdate at a Friends House and I thought I would get a bit crafty for the party.... so I went to my favorite past-time EVER and went searching on Pinterest for do-able crafts! If you don't know what Pinterest is you are missing out!!! Its a website were people post recipes, diy project, party ideas and so much more!!! It pretty much is a site were people pin a bunch of things that they probably will never do (hehehe)....

So anyways, I came across a homemade Maraca and I was amazed at how easy and adorable they were! Here is a picture of the Maraca and a how-to!

All you need is your leftover Easter Eggs, colored tape and spoons...so simple and easy! Fill the egg with beans or rice (I did a bit of both) put both spoons around the egg and wrap with the colored tape and your done...you can also draw designs on the tape and make it more festive! The kiddos loved it and you can even have the kids help put them together and decorate them!

I also found a really cute diy for Cinco De Mayo Sombrero Cookies...I used a Sugar Cookie Mix and store bought frosting (if you are really feeling awesome do your homemade cookie recipe...lol)...add frosting put a few sprinkles on top and a gumdrop and walla you have a Sombrero!!!

Pinterest is one of my addictions...lol...the site has some really cute and easy recipes/diy!!!! Check out Pinterest if you haven't already!
