Our Family, Diwali 2012

Wow what a Whirlwind these past few weeks have been! My In-laws arrived from India (which we are very excited about) and now Diwali is upon us!!


I was reminiscing today about my First Ever Experience of Diwali a few years back in India! It was such an exciting time of my life! I can honestly say I never experienced anything like that ever before in my life. I quite honestly was so overwhelmed by the awesomeness of the whole experience!


I remember waking up on Diwali morning and just the excitement in the air was so Amazing! Everything about Diwali was so new to me and exciting and now going on my 4th Diwali it still feels the same way!


We have hung up our (Akash or Pretty Lanterns, as I call them...lol) and tomorrow morning we will wake up and start with all the Traditional Festivities (I will blog about them with pictures and explanations) and eat some Yummy Sweets and have a Pooja! Also one of my favorite parts is dressing up in our Diwali Outfits and better yet FIREWORKS!!!
